Singularities is an International peer reviewed transdisciplinary, biannual research journal brought out with a view to make a genuine difference in the academia by guiding the academic community to novel perceptions and genuine realities. The aim of the journal is to provide a platform for papers which investigate and interrogate the ethos of our culture. Since the domain of the journal cuts across disciplines, it hopes to be a forum which brings together varying and vibrant discourse on a suite of issue which matter to all.

An independent publication venture from Kerala, India, launched in 2014, Singularities has so far brought out 10 Volumes and 19 issues. It has also collaborated with institutions to organize international and national seminars and workshops. It is a bold attempt to make a genuine difference in the academia by promoting true research. As a result of the fruitful collaboration with Department of English, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, three international Conferences on the key themes, ‘Power’, ‘Beauty’ and ‘Truth’ were organized in 2016, 2018 and 2019 respectively. International Conference on ‘Time’ organized at DGMMES Mampad College (Autonomous) in 2020 is another milestone in the academic pursuit of the journal. Singularities International online Conference on Liberty organized in collaboration with Farook college in 2021 , Singularities International Conference on Love conducted collaborating with St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam and Singularities International Conference on Race organized with Vimala College, Thrissur added laurels to our efforts. The national conferences on Space (2017), Shakespeare Continuum and the regional Conference on Post-millennial literature also are the proud initiatives of this journal. The singularities keynote speakers included Prof. Bill Ashcroft, Prof. Jonathan Culler, Professor Gopal Guru, T M Krishna, Professor Nivedita Menon, Rajdeep Sardesai, Professor Sunder Sarukai, Bezwada Wilson, Dr. N.S. The current issue of this print journal is Volume 10, Issue 1 which showcased the best papers presented in Singularities International Conference on ‘Race’. Singularities served as the publication partner of Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute of the International Conference on Shakespeare, “The Quintessential Zeitgeist” in 2014 and MESMAC International Conference opening edition in 2017. With a view to promote and ensure quality of research writing, academic writing workshops were organized at KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, Vimala College, Thrissur and MES Mampad College, under the auspices of the journal.

Call for Papers: Volume 10 Issue 2 (July 2023)

The Journal welcomes the submission of papers that meet the general criteria of significance and theoretical excellence. Authors are requested to emphasize on novel theoretical paradigm and issues against the backdrop of proper objectification of suitable primary materials and documents. The papers should not be published in parts or whole or accepted for publication elsewhere. The papers will be subjected to blind peer review. Decision of our esteemed reviewers regarding the selection of papers will be binding. Authors are requested to strictly follow the submission guidelines mentioned herewith in preparing their papers. Only electronic submission via email will be accepted for publication.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

• Manuscript must be written in English language.
• File must be in Microsoft Word format.
• Paper size: A4, Font & size: Times New Roman 12, the title must be in 14 point size, bold.
• Spacing: One and a half, Margin: 1 inch on all four sides.
• Word – limit: Paper- Minimum: 2500 Maximum: 4000 words
• Only those papers will be granted for review which are not published elsewhere or submitted for publication.
• The authors will have to strictly follow MLA 9th edition in preparing their papers.
• Authors are requested to use end note instead of foot note.
• Authors cannot use their names anywhere in the manuscript except in the title page. Please mention the details of your institutional affiliation after your name, on the title page.
• All manuscript must include a maximum 250 words abstract next to the title page.
• Add about 4 to 5 keywords one line bellow the abstract.
• Each manuscript must carry a duly signed declaration that it is an original work and has not been published anywhere else for publication, and a brief bio-note of 150 words of the respective author (name, postal address, designation, affiliation, specialization, mail-id, contact no. etc.) towards the end of the paper. Do not send your bio-note in a separate file.
• The papers submitted should evince serious academic work contributing to new knowledge and innovative critical perspectives on the subject explored.
• Authors are requested to follow the strict ethics of writing scholarly papers and to aware plagiarism.
• Authors are requested to submit their manuscript to singularitiesjournal@gmail.com

The journal will be published in July 2023

In addition to the papers on any general area, selected papers presented in Singularities Annual Conference on Race 2023 will be included in the current issue of the journal.
